1. Quiz time

The trailer for “Lady in the Water” looks A) confusing B) puzzling or C) like “The Chronicles of Narnia” re-enacted in a swimming pool.

2. Freefalling

It’s fun to watch reruns of “Saved By the Bell” and realize that Jessie went on to star in “Showgirls,” and Slater landed on “America’s Most Talented Kid” and then “Nip/Tuck.”

3. C’mon, Hollywood …

I’ll admit I still haven’t seen “Superman Returns.” Part of me is holding out for “Snakes on a Superman.”

4. Sliver

Orlando Bloom arrives at the “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest” London premiere with what appears to be a freakishly tall matchstick.

5. Score

If you missed it, Italy advanced to the World Cup finals, which could be the thing that finally gets Americans interested in soccer. Or chicken Parmesan. Either way, it’s a win-win.

6. Love hurts

I got a kick out of reading Billboard’s “This Day in Music” for July 4. It recalled the time Courtney Love smacked Bikini Kill’s singer at Lollapalooza in 1995. Courtney, of course, has matured a great deal since then …

7. Cheerio

Hope you enjoyed your 4th of July. Keep in mind for next year that it’s not all about cookouts and fireworks but also about freedoms and reminding the British that they suck.

8. Bombers away

Jamie Foxx says he’s planning something “special” for his hometown of Terrell, Texas. His hometown is desperately hoping it’s not a public screening of “Stealth.”

9. Not for you

Pharrell says he will start working on a new album for N.E.R.D. later this year. By the way, N.E.R.D. is his band, lest I confuse any “Battlestar Galactica” fans.
