Indiana coach Terry Hoeppner and current Northwestern player Joel Howells will be among those delivering eulogies at Thursday’s memorial service for NU football coach Randy Walker, who died June 29 of a heart attack at 52.

The service begins at 10 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 1427 Chicago Ave., Evanston.

Hoeppner coached under Walker at Miami of Ohio and succeeded him as head coach when Walker moved to Northwestern in 1999. Howells started his NU career as a walk-on and eventually won a scholarship.

Former Wildcats player Jason Wright, currently with the Browns, is scheduled to be a soloist.
