People used to confuse Joe Ogilvie (left) and Geoff Ogilvy, and it was understandable. They are both PGA Tour golfers, and their names sound alike. With Ogilvy winning last month’s U.S. Open, mistaken identity has been less of a problem. “Not anymore,” Ogilvie said. “I know Geoff real well. It has been good for the Ogilvies, good for the name recognition.” Ogilvie is tied for third in the Western after a 2-under 69 left him at 135 for 36 holes, three shots behind leader Daniel Chopra. As for Geoff Ogilvy, he’s in his native Australia still celebrating his victory.
