I enjoyed the lakefront fireworks on July 3, but I don’t see why I had to stay up past midnight listening to my neighbors shoot off their illegal fireworks. This happens every year. It also scares my pets half to death. Isn’t there anything the Chicago police can do to enforce these laws?
Doesn’t ignoring these laws decrease respect for all laws?
I’d like to hear discussion of this issue in the City Council.
