– Three Chicago-area couples again appear on ARTnews magazine’s annual list of “the world’s top 200 collectors.” They, and their areas of specialization, are: Stefan T. Edlis and H. Gael Neeson (contemporary art); Kenneth C. Griffin and Anne Dias (Impressionism, Post-Impressionism); Elizabeth and Harvey Plotnick (Old Master prints, Islamic ceramics, rare books). The list represents the magazine’s choices for “the world’s most active collectors.”

– Eight years after his solo debut, Sean Lennon is releasing album No. 2. “Friendly Fire” is due Sept. 26, Capitol Records announced Tuesday. It follows “Into the Sun,” which was released in 1998. In a statement, Lennon, 30, said of the delay: “There was a long period after the first album where I felt disillusioned with the machinery of the industry.” Lennon produced a short film for each of the album’s tracks, directed by Michele Civetta, featuring appearances by Lindsay Lohan, Bijou Phillips, Asia Argento, Devon Aoki, Carrie Fisher, Jordana Brewster and others.

– A cast member on MTV’s “The Real World: Key West” was arraigned on a misdemeanor assault charge after police said she bit her boyfriend during a domestic dispute. Paula Ann Meronek, 25, of Cromwell, Conn., allegedly bit her boyfriend several times when he refused to let her into their home early Sunday morning, police said. Meronek, who was arraigned Monday, was charged with third-degree assault, which carries a potential penalty of a year in prison. She is due back in court Aug. 11. Her boyfriend, John Alyward, was charged with disorderly conduct.
