Frances M. “Fran” Abbihil, nee Antolin, age 83, a resident of Naperville, IL, for 13 years, formerly of Chicago’s North Side for 70 years, died Wednesday, July 12, 2006, at ManorCare Health Services, Naperville. She was born March 1, 1923, in Chicago. Fran is survived by a sister, Goldie (the late Richard) Dunbar; many nieces and nephews including Michael (Ann) Rowland and Martin (Kathryn) Rowland; and many great-nieces and great-nephews including Michelle, Caroline, Maureen, John and Thomas. She was preceded in death by her first husband Carl Franke, a U.S. Navy pilot, who was killed in action during World War II, her second husband Dave Abbihil, her parents Martin and Verna Antolin, a brother Frank Antolin, a sister Cecelia Rowland and a nephew John Rowland. Fran was employed for many years as a tour guide/travel agent for Alladin Travel, Chicago. Visitation Sunday, 2 to 6 p.m., at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. Services will begin Monday, 9:45 a.m., from the funeral home and will proceed to a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 1500 Brookdale Rd., Naperville.
