“Snakes on a Plane” rocks! At least it will when the soundtrack comes out Aug. 15.
The future camp classic will have Chicago to thank for it. Wilmette’s Pete Wentz has a big hand in the album. Artists from his Decaydance Records stock much of the lineup, and his band Fall Out Boy contributes a song.
“Basically, I think the whole concept behind the film is hilarious,” Wentz told mtv.com, “and it’s something that just kept growing and growing, so I had to be a part of it. … To be honest, part of the reason I did it was to meet Samuel L. Jackson.”
The album features super group Cobra Starship, Panic! at the Disco and Gnarls Barkley’s Cee-Lo, who schools us with his cut “Ophidiophobia.”
