Rita M. Devine, nee Riberdy, age 79, of New Lenox, IL, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at her home. She was born March 13, 1927 in Kankakee, IL to the late Camille and Martha Riberdy. Beloved wife to Bernard E. Devine; loving mother of Patrick “Andy” (Nancy) Devine, Tim “Andy” (Beth) Devine; dear sister of Gene (Joanne) Riberdy, Bob (Ruth) Riberdy. She was loved deeply by her grandchildren Kelly Devine, Katie (Mike) Landers, Kristy, Patrick, Amy Devine; proud great-grandmother to Connor Devine; fond aunt to many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her brothers Paul (Kay) Riberdy, Richard (Patty) Riberdy; sister-in-law of Mary (Robert) Dixon. She will be remembered for her career as a nurse at Ingalls Hospital, Harvey, IL and several years of service with Drs. Abrams and Sherman of Homewood, IL. Her devotion to family and friends were a source of special pride. She was involved in the giving to numerous charities. Funeral Saturday, July 15, 2006, 9:30 a.m. from Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, to St. Jude Catholic Church, 241 W. 2nd St., New Lenox. Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Interment Sts. Mary and Joseph Cemetery, Chebanse, IL.
