This is regarding “`Taste’ mother had no support system; An adopted child who once was in foster care herself, the mother of the boy left at Taste of Chicago was in dire financial straits trying to make it the best she could, acquaintances say” (Metro, July 11).
Come on! What kind of headline is that for a mother who abandoned her child?
To me it is a pitiful attempt to excuse her self-centered and cold-hearted behavior.
“`Taste’ mom lacked conscience,” or “`Taste mom lacked compassion” seems to fit the facts of her pathetic behavior more appropriately.
