Ozzie Guillen isn’t the only AL Central manager who can deliver a great R-rated rant. Just see what happens when someone calls Detroit Tigers manager Jim Leyland old. “That [ticks] me off,” Leyland says. “I’m getting tired of people saying I’m an old man. I’m not an old man. That [ticks] me off. I’ve got a lot of energy. I’m 61 years old. I can play basketball. I can still throw a football. I can play golf. [Expletive], I’ve got two young kids, I chase them all around the [gosh-darn] yard. Everybody acts like I’m a [expletive] old [expletive] goat. I’m not an old goat. I look old because I smoke and it makes your face look older and everything. I really don’t give a [expletive]. I can stay up later than anybody in this [gosh-darn] room.”
A grumpy, uh . . . mature man
