John W. Dybis, of McFarland and Grand Rapids, MI, and Chicago, IL, a retired architect for multiple major midwestern healthcare and medical facilities, passed away after a courageous battle with mesothelioma on Friday, July 14, 2006, at the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center in Madison. He was 65. A visitation will take place Skaja Terrace Funeral Home, 7812 Milwaukee Ave., Niles, IL, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., on Wednesday, July 19, 2006 from 9 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. on Thursday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John Brebeuf Church, 8307 N. Harlem Ave., Niles, IL, at 11 a.m., on Thursday, July 20, 2006. Entombment will be in St. Adalbert’s Cemetery in Niles, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation.
