Donald T. Olson, 78, WWII Veteran, of Belvidere and formerly of Des Plaines, passed away July 6, 2006. Beloved husband of the late Barbara Joan; loving father of Robert (Kathie), Peter (Leonora), John (Chrystal), Nancy (Al) Brooks and the late James Edward; dear grandfather of Lindsey and Michele Olson, Alex (Andrea) Lim, Sally (Joe) Aguinaldo, Jimmy, Ryan and Sarah Brooks; great-grandfather of Wendy, Joesalyn and Joemar; and brother of Ken Olson. Memorial Service will be Saturday, July 22, 11 a.m., at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, 1095 Thacker Street, Des Plaines, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 500 N. Dearbon, Suite 305, Chicago, IL 60610-4901, would be appreciated.
