– Toyota is recalling 367,500 2004-05 Highlander and Lexus RX300 SUVs and 2006 Highlander Hybrid and Lexus RX400h SUVs to fix faulty clips that may cause a console panel to fall onto the accelerator. Dealers will install stronger versions of two clips that hold a four-inch panel to the right of the accelerator.
– Toyota is recalling about 157,000 2003-05 Tundra pickups to remove a switch that allows passenger-side air bags to be deactivated. Federal rules forbid the switches in vehicles that lack equipment for properly installing child-safety seats. Dealers will remove the switch and add an air-bag warning label on the vehicles’ sun visors.
– The Consumer Product Safety Commission has recalled about 700 2005-06 Felt RXC mountain bicycles, because the steel brake boss can come loose from the frame and cause falls.
