EVENT OF THE WEEK

Career development has club feel

Billy Dec, president and partner of Rockit Ranch Productions, will share his insights on career development at a meeting of Young Professionals of Chicago.

Dec heads up the Client Division at Rockit Ranch, a company that specializes in creating, developing and managing restaurants, bars and nightclubs. He opened his first venue, Solo, when he was 22 and has since been involved in several more, including Le Passage, Rockit Bar and Grill, and Circus.

Most recently, Dec and his partners opened two venues, The Park Sports Club and Tequila Ranch, at The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Fla.

The event is taking place from 6 to 10 p.m. on Tuesday at Rockit Bar and Grill, 22 W. Hubbard St. The cost is $10 for members and $15 for other attendees.
