– The kids apparently are clamoring for the K-Fed. Kevin Federline, husband of Britney Spears, is set to take the stage at the 2006 Teen Choice Awards, marking his musical debut on network television. He will close the show, which airs Aug. 20 and will be hosted by Jessica Simpson and Dane Cook.

– Despite promises, there almost certainly will not be a new album from Fall Out Boy this year. But, Pete Wentz tells MTV, “there will definitely be a single out by year’s end.” Shake-ups at the Boy’s label, Island/Def Jam, have caused the delay.

– Mindy McCready was found not guilty Wednesday in a Nashville courtroom of driving under the influence in May 2005. The jury did find her guilty of driving on a suspended license. The DUI case centered on a video of the field sobriety tests the country singer took after she was stopped for speeding. McCready, 30, refused to take a breath test, but officers said she smelled of alcohol and was unsteady on her feet.

– The state of Arkansas is prepared to pardon the Rolling Stones’ Keith Richards for being a reckless driver, 31 years later. The state Parole Board on July 3 approved an application for clemency submitted on behalf of Richards by Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee.
