Take in some serious volleyball action and a free concert by alt-rockers Everclear this weekend at North Avenue Beach. It’s all part of the 2006 AVP McDonald’s Chicago Open pro volleyball tour. Qualifying rounds are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, followed by the Everclear show. Competition continues Saturday and Sunday.
