– A story in Thursday’s Metro section about two males charged in connection with the beating of Ryan Rusch, 14, of Chicago did not give the full name and title of Assistant State’s Atty. Cheryl Lenard.

– A story in Wednesday’s Metro section about a memorial carwash fundraiser for Geneva High School football player Dustin Villarreal misspelled his first name and misstated the year of his death. He died this year.

– A main news section story Tuesday about the Group of 8 meeting identified Wieslaw Jakubowiak as director of Russia’s tuberculosis control program. In fact, Jakubowiak works for the World Health Organization as head of its TB program in Russia.

– A Page 1 story Monday misspelled the first name of Maj. Gen. Eliezer Shkedi, commander of the Israeli air force.

– In the July 14 Metro section, an illustration about ash trees incorrectly showed leaves attached to a branch. In fact, three to 11 leaflets form a leaf on a single stem, which is attached to a branch.
