Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...
This is undoubtedly another in a long list of letters regarding cell-phone users and bad manners. But I feel compelled to write after a recent visit to the Ravinia Festival. I attended the recent Tom Jones and Etta James concert and had a seat in the pavilion section. I was there to listen to a musical performance and instead, for a good portion of the show, I listened to a woman sitting close to me talk on her cell phone. Cell phones keep us connected. I am a cell-phone user too.
Let’s all try and remember, though, that use of our cell phones does not entitle us to bad manners. Look around and respect those near you. Just because a phone is available does not mean that talking is always polite.
