James “Jimmy the Greek” Koclanis, Vet WWII, of Hillside. Loving father of Kathy; dear brother of the late Bertha (the late John) Maniatis, George (the late Gertrude), Jennie (the late Steve) Colovos, Frieda (the late Nick) Montes, Caroline and Sophia; fond uncle, great-uncle, great-great-uncle, cousin, and devoted friend of many. 50 year resident of Hillside where he presided over Jim’s Butterhill Grill Breakfast Club from 1961-2005. In 1996 the Village of Hillside honored him by co-naming Hillside Ave. as Koclanis Ave. While not a wealthy man by traditional standards he was still the richest man in town. Resting at Chapel Hills Gardens West Funeral Home, Hennessy-Bruno Funeral Director, 17W201 Roosevelt Rd.
