What went wrong with Dave Navarro and Carmen Electra?
The couple’s split, announced by a publicist at the beginning of the week, surprised friends and observers who thought the rocker’s marriage to the actress seemed destined to succeed.
Unnamed friends told People magazine the couple are “better off as friends.” Navarro moved to quash any rumors of infidelity in a post on his Web site.
“So, there are a few questions that I am willing to address. … 1. Do you have a girlfriend? No. I have been living at home, touring, making and promoting a record or shooting ‘Rock Star’ for the past several months. There is absolutely no way I could be living with someone in New York,” he wrote.
“2. What does amicably separated mean? It means that Carmen and I love each other, we are and always will be best friends.”
