If you’re like us, there are days when we’re hankering for a spot o’ tea, but the thought of a highfalutin high tea is more than we wanna deal with. And in this heat? Forget it. Well, Chinatown has a new teahouse that’s more fast food that froufrou, with an arresting orange-yellow-and-red decor and cheery staffers to match. The first Chicago outpost of the Hong Kong-based chain features around 70 beverage choices like “frothy” green tea with milk and tapioca pearls ($2.95-$3.85) and ruby grapefruit green tea ($3.05-$3.95) –get ’em hot or cold to suit your mood (or the weather!). No snooty grub here; the Asian menu is mostly geared for snacking with choices like spring rolls ($3), vegetarian dumplings ($3.65) and deep-fried shrimp balls ($3.65). 2131 S. Archer Ave., Ground Floor, 312-842-1886.
