Curtis B. Harper, age 87, passed away Friday, July 21, 2006, at Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet. Curtis is survived by his loving family; his three children Penny (Doug) Sartori, Terri (Art Huffstutler) Kennedy and Pat (Donna) Harper; eight grandchildren Bryan (Gretchen) Sartori, Jennifer (Jeff) Hill, Heather (Zac) Viall, Sean Kennedy, Kevin (Pamela) Kennedy, Ryan Kennedy, Morgan Kennedy and Kyle Harper; six great-grandchildren Megan, Katie and Abby Sartori, Jordyn Hill, Tommy and Jamee Kennedy; a sister Merle Lewis and two brothers Homer Doyle (Loretta) Harper and Donald R. (Dorothy) Harper. Curtis will also be missed by his devoted caregivers Karen Bouchea and Kathy Gebhardt. Curtis was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years Helen Harper; his parents Ollie and Buelah Harper; a great-granddaughter Tammy Sartori and a sister Floy Cain. Curtis was born February 22, 1919, in Haynesville, LA. He was a United States WWII US Army Air Force veteran. He worked for Ruan Transport as a truck driver for 35 years retiring in 1981. He was a member of Lockport Masonic Lodge #538 A.F. & A.M., the First United Methodist Church of Lockport and Teamsters #705. Family will receive friends at Goodale Memorial Chapel, 912 S. Hamilton Street, Lockport, on Sunday, July 23, from 3 until 8 p.m., with a Masonic service at 7 p.m. Visitation again on Monday, July 24, from 10:30 until time of service at 11 a.m., at the First United Methodist Church of Lockport, the Rev. Anne H. Utterback officiating. Interment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. Info 815-838-1533
