– The arrest of the Los Lonely Boys’ bassist on allegations he assaulted his fiance was a misunderstanding, the band’s publicist said Sunday. Police said they arrested Joey “JoJo” Garza, 26, at a hotel in Austin, Texas, on Saturday on charges of assault and possession of marijuana. He was released on bond from Travis County Jail hours later. “This is simply a misunderstanding. We were being too loud,” Carina Lyn, Garza’s fiance, said through the publicist.
– Will Smith was in Philadelphia, his hometown, over the weekend, to march against violence. The actor and rapper said he wanted to do something about the violence in the city. “We’re going to take this walk, hopefully draw a little attention to the problem and get some solutions,” Smith said Saturday as he walked with his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.
