I would definitely participate if CTA offered an emergency drill because I’m sure most of us wouldn’t know what to do if we got stuck in a tunnel. (“Would riders sign up for CTA evacuation drills?” July 18 column by Kyra Kyles.) It’s a scary thought to think about what would happen if you were in a situation like that and you didn’t know what to do. I would feel a lot more comfortable if I knew what to do in an emergency situation like that if I had first practiced and gone over what to do to help prepare myself.
