Quentin Tarantino’s fascination with old Hollywood tough guys continues.
Kurt Russell will star in the “Pulp Fiction” director’s half of “Grindhouse,” the double-feature horror movie he’s sharing with “Sin City” director Robert Rodriguez. Others in the ensemble cast in Tarantino’s half–a slasher flick he has titled “Death Proof”–include Rosario Dawson and Rose McGowan. (Sorry folks: no Uma Thurman.)
Rodriguez’s half–the zombie thriller “Planet Terror”–also stars McGowan, as well as Freddy Rodriguez (“Six Feet Under”), Naveen Andrews (“Lost”) and Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas, among others.
The movie is set to be released in April 2007.
