Boyd James Bradly, age 81, of Frankfort, IL, formerly of Florida, Matteson, Park Forest, and Chicago, passed away Sunday, July 23. Mr. Bradly was born October 14, 1924 in El Reno, OK. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Ethelreda, nee Brunke, and his sister Mary Ann Montgomery of Oklahoma City, OK. Boyd is survived by a daugther, Kathleen (George) Garines of Frankfort; sons, William of Steger, James (Chris) of Indiana; sister Sybil (Guy) Taylor of El Reno, OK; four granddaughters and four great-granddaughters. He was a retired supervisor of Illinois Bell Telephone Company and a life member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. He also was a decorated Army Combat Infantryman of World War II, a 52 year member and past Commander of the Rehfeldt-Meyer American Legion Post 474, Matteson, IL. Life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9545, New Lenox, IL and charter member of the Matteson Historical Society. A visitation will be Wednesday, July 26 from 2 to 9 p.m. at Hirsch’s Lincolnway Chapel, 3501 W. Lincoln Hwy., Matteson. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 7659 W. Sauk Trail, Frankfort on Thursday, July 27 at 9:30 a.m. following prayers at 8:30 a.m. from the funeral home. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip. For info, 708-748-8031.
