Don’t worry if you haven’t bought your Lollapalooza tickets yet. Organizers say they’ve sold more than 45,000 tickets for each of Lolla’s three days, but capacity at the Grant Park site is 75,000.
Founder Perry Farrell offered up some other Lolla tidbits in a conference call Monday morning:
– Second City actors in costume will play “merry pranks” and help out with the interactive text message game Mindfield.
– Peter DiStefano from Porno for Pyros will teach kids to play guitar at Kidzapalooza.
– Farrell wants Al Gore to come. The festival has adopted global warming as its cause, and Ferrell said he wrote a personal letter to Gore, an environmental activist, asking him to join Lollapalooza.
