When the cast of NBC’s fall dramedy “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip” talked to reporters at the Summer TV Press Tour in Pasadena over the weekend, it almost felt like an episode of the show.
Cast members Matthew Perry (right) and Bradley Whitford (left), who are the hub characters of the series, talked like brothers about their acting relationship.
“For whatever reason,” Perry said, “we just have a good chemistry together. We both really love working and then making fun of working and, you know …”
“Mocking other people,” Whitford cut in.
“He’s a really funny, really good actor,” Perry said, “and I’m funnier and a little bit better.”
Their characters are a writer and a director in the series, a behind-the-scenes view of a “Saturday Night Live”-like show that premieres Sept. 18.
