Mary E. Roth, nee Babb, late of Matteson, IL, born March 30, 1923 and raised in Chicago, passed away July 24 at home, formerly of Park Forest, widow of Joseph P. Roth. Survived by daughter Ellen (Chester) Pensinger of Tinley Park and son Richard of Gloucester, MA; and grandsons Joseph of Chicago and Michael (fiancee Stephanie Ginder) of Oak Lawn; preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Jean Babb; she is also survived by sister Dorothy (Ralph) Silvis of Sardinia, OH, and brother James (Diane) Babb of Endicott, NY, the late John “Jack” (Corinne) Babb of Elk Grove, IL; many nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Paul’s Good Shepherd Church in Park Forest, Infant Welfare Society and Park Forest Garden Club and several bridge clubs. She had many friends. Cremation has been held.
