The Steppenwolf Theatre production of Cormac McCarthy’s “Sunset Limited” is headed to New York this fall, replete with the same cast and creative team. The show will be under the Steppenwolf banner, but further details have yet to be confirmed. … Lisa Joyce, the young Chicago actress who shot to national fame after her performance in Adam Rapp’s “Red Light Winter” at the Steppenwolf Theatre, has been cast in the national tour of “Doubt.” The touring version of the Broadway hit arrives in Chicago in January. … White Horse Theatre Company says it will perform its next several shows at the Theatre Building Chicago. The ambitious slate of titles includes “The Wiz” (slated for March) and “Evita” (August 2007). This summer, White Horse is producing the original musical, “Keeping Ishmael.” … The Chicago production of “Blue Man Group” is running every night of the week this summer. The show also has a free Friday night shuttle service in place for the summer, ferrying patrons from the Loop and Magnificent Mile Hot Tix locations to its North Side theater in time for its 10 p.m. performance, then bringing them back. … The Bailiwick Arts Center, one of the few Chicago theaters to fully capitalize on the recently concluded Gay Games, says its annual Pride Festival was the best attended in the troupe’s history. … Ravinia’s high-profile, semi-staged production of “Gypsy,” slated for Aug. 11-13 and starring Patti LuPone, has finished its casting. Leo Ash Evens will play Tulsa, Jack Willis will be Herbie and local native Jessica Boevers appears as Gypsy Rose Lee. Paul Gemignani conducts the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Tickets to the biggest theatrical night in August are going fast. … “The Big Bang,” the comedy that opened the new basement venue at the Chicago Theatre, has closed weeks early. The show, which originated in Philadelphia, did not make a bang in Chicago.
