I am tremendously disturbed by recent letters in the Voice of the people section. Supporters of embryonic stem cell research must realize that embryos are a form of human life; if they weren’t human, there would be no advantage in using them over a mouse.
Knowing that, how can it be morally justified to use them for research to benefit ourselves or our loved ones?
It just stuns me that so many reasonable and educated people are able to convince themselves that it’s OK to use another human life, no matter what the possible benefit to ourselves.
