David J. Flores, 66, of Lynwood, 8th degree karate black belt, retired Karate Instructor at Hazel Crest Park District, former proprietor of Wooden Tanks Unlimited, skilled craftsman and artisan, world traveler and lifetime member of Midwest Carver’s Museum in South Holland, passed away July 26, 2006, after a valiant battle with liver cancer. Beloved husband of Sharron Flores; cherished father of David Flores of San Diego and Paul Flores of Hazel Crest; loving stepfather of David Hampson of Carrollton, GA, and Shannon Lenihan of Tinley Park; grandfather of seven; dear brother of Isabel Flores, Clarissa Jones, Dolores Theodore, Samuel Flores, Patricia Atad, Jonathan Flores and the late Angela Flores; uncle, brother-in-law, cousin, friend and neighbor of many. Memorial Mass Saturday, Aug. 5, 11 a.m., at Sacred Heart Church, at 15th and Iowa in Melrose Park.
