Rose Slupik, nee Ptasznyk, 82, of Geneva and formerly of Batavia, passed away July 29, 2006 at Provena Geneva Care Center. Beloved wife of Walter; loving mother of Donald (Andrea) Slupik of Batavia and Robert (Jeanne) Slupik of Canyon Lake, TX; fond grandmother of Katharine (Frank) Gaudio of Plainfield; dear sister of the late Joseph Ptasznyk. Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 South Batavia Avenue, Batavia, IL. A rosary service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 1891 Kaneville Rd., Geneva, IL; where she will lie in state from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass at Church.
