– “It’s not pretty, but I’m walking on my own,” CBS News journalist Kimberly Dozier, 40, said this week after her release from a Baltimore-area rehabilitation hospital, where she’d been recovering from injuries suffered in a May car bomb attack in Iraq. The blast killed Dozier’s camera crew.
– The Knack’s lead singer, Doug Fieger, perhaps best known for the 1979 hit “My Sharona,” underwent successful brain surgery this week, his doctor reported. Fieger, 53, had two brain tumors removed during the operation at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, publicist Guy McCain said.
