Bravo to the Tribune’s July 28 editorial concerning “Summer soakers.” I thought I was alone with my disdain of our local weather forecasters as they demonized rain and storms in their forecasts. Even with last year’s drought conditions, rarely did a weather forecaster welcome the threat of rain. Apparently they all live in high-rises and don’t own umbrellas.
