Anyone who knows the work of artist Edgar Miller, whose eccentric designs in tile and wood grace a number Old Town sites, will recognize this figure, one in a series of ceramic plaques. But according to the “AIA Guide to Chicago,” Miller claimed these plaques were unauthorized copies reproduced and placed here by real estate investor Sol Kogen without Miller’s permission.
