– Lindsay Lohan says she wants to go with Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) to Iraq to entertain U.S. troops there in the style of Marilyn Monroe. “I’ve been trying to go to Iraq with Hillary Clinton for so long. Hillary was trying to work it out, but it seemed too dangerous,” the actress says in an interview in the September issue of Elle magazine, on newsstands Wednesday.
– The Dixie Chicks, shunned by country radio after singer Natalie Maines bashed President Bush, have canceled 14 concerts on their current tour and delayed others, the BBC reported Tuesday. A spokeswoman said the number of concerts remained the same, with dates in Canada replacing canceled U.S. shows.
– Bryce Dallas Howard is expecting her first child with actor-husband Seth Gabel, People.com reported, saying the actress, 25, made the announcement Tuesday at the British premiere of her movie “Lady in the Water.”
– Mario Cipollina, 51, a founding member of Huey Lewis & the News, has pleaded not guilty to felony counts of heroin and methamphetamine possession, court officials in Marin County, Calif., said. Cipollina entered the plea Monday and was being held without bail because the charges violated the terms of his probation for felony burglary and petty theft convictions, said Deputy District Atty. Linda Witong.
