Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

1) LG KG800 ($519; www.dynamism.com) Dubbed “Chocolate,” this sweet phone looks cool even when it’s doing nothing. Slide it open to reveal a Web browser, Bluetooth connectivity, a music player that does MP3 and AAC files and an MPEG-4 video player. But you won’t be able to store a lot of music and video; there is no memory slot, just the 128 megabyte storage capacity.

2) MacBook (starting at $1,099; www.apple.com) Imagine a Mac laptop married to an Intel chip capable of running Windows programs. That colorful 13-inch screen can take you anywhere, even into Windows territory. Just buy Parallels Desktop for Mac software. Bonus points for stepping up to the $1,499 black MacBook.

3) GamePark GP2X ($199; www.dynamism.com) No more $30 to $50 games for your PlayStation Portable or Nintendo DS Lite. Because the GamePark GP2X runs on an open system, a ton of free games are available. You can even learn to program your own to go along with Sega and PC emulations of “Sonic the Hedgehog 2” and other greats from the mists of time.

4) T-Mobile Sidekick III ($299.99 with $50 online rebate; www.tmobile.com) Smaller and better-looking than its predecessor, the Sidekick III still is great for text and instant messaging.

5) Logitech QuickCam Orbit MP ($129; www.logitech.com). No need to strike a pose for your online audience. The 1.3 megapixel QuickCam Orbit MP tilts and pans to follow your visage, using face-recognition software.
