Sylvia Engelmann, age 73, of Plainfield, formerly of Darien, beloved wife of Max for 49 years; loving mother of Bruce (Lori), Audrey (Greg) Elisha and Roger; proud grandmother of Faith, Sarah, Emmet, Lukas and Parker; dear sister of the late Mary Wright; adored aunt of many nieces and nephews. Sylvia was an educator in the Chicago Public Schools for 32 years, a graduate from Lindbloom High School and the Chicago Teachers College. Memorial Mass Tuesday, August 22, 2006, 9:30 a.m., at St. Joseph Church, 4832 Main St., Downers Grove. Visitation 8:30 a.m. until time of Mass.
