This alarmist hubbub about teen drinking and drugging is silly. I grew up in this area, graduated from a suburban high school in 1980 and a state college in 1985. None of this is anything new. Just as many of us were drinking and smoking pot back in the ’70s and ’80s. The majority of us turned out just fine. This isn’t an epidemic; it’s what teens do.
