Thanks so much for running Robert Hughes’ column. I have two autistic sons–Conor and Daniel–in early adulthood now, and Hughes’ point about the pressing need for group homes bears repeating. Let’s look for a cure, certainly, but the unglamorous need to provide decent care for my boys after my wife and I are gone gives us more sleepless nights than any search for a magic bullet.
