Elna Bender, a loving wife, mother, sister and friend, 13 year resident of Las Vegas; born in Manilla, Iowa November 12, 1917, passed away at home Saturday, September 2, 2006. Elna loved to entertain family and friends and proudly received her life master in bridge. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Lucien Bender; daughter, Susan (Anthony) Martin of Casper, WY; son, Terrence (Merly) Bender of Las Vegas, NV; daughter, Jacquelyn (Dolph) Sharp of Long Grove, IL; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the National Hospice Foundation at Dept. 6058, Washington, D.C. 20042, 877-470-6472.
