If those people protesting the renaming of Marshall Field’s need a marching song, here’s one based on a little ditty I learned in boot camp at Great Lakes:
I used to shop in Chicago, in a department store.
I used to shop in Chicago, I did but I don’t anymore.
A man came to town and changed its name.
“What’s the new name?” said I.
“Macy’s,” he said, and Macy’s it is,
And I don’t shop there anymore.
