Apparently critics weren’t the only ones was caught off guard by the news that Ben Affleck won the top acting prize at the recent Venice Film Festival–so was Affleck, Us Weekly reports on its Web site. Affleck left the festival early and missed out on receiving his award for “Hollywoodland.” “If I thought for a second that there were going to be awards for anybody, I would have stayed,” he said, according to Us.
