Many years ago I went to Macy’s in New York with my mother and I found it to be quite ordinary. Now, 50 years later, I find it hasn’t changed. We have been customers of Marshall Field’s for more than 50 years with an excellent credit rating. One would think that Macy’s would want us as customers, but it still didn’t send us a Macy’s charge card.

First impressions don’t change. This store will never be a part of Chicago’s history.
