You can’t spell “philanthropist” without “Paris”–or “Pitt,” for that matter. And what do Paris Hilton and Brad Pitt have in common? They’re giving of their money.
Pitt and Angelina Jolie are giving $1 million each to two humanitarian organizations, an adviser to the couple said Wednesday: Global Action for Children and Medecins sans Frontieres/Doctors Without Borders. They’ll do so through their newly formed Jolie-Pitt Foundation. (Trend alert: Foundations are the new marriages.)
Hilton helped the less fortunate on a smaller but no less generous scale. She was photographed giving a homeless man a $100 bill on her way out of a McDonald’s drive-through in L.A., tmz.com reports.
Meanwhile, in a galaxy not very far away, “Star Wars” creator George Lucas is donating a nice little chunk of change–$175 million–to his alma mater, the University of Southern California. Now there’s a gift the Trojans will gladly accept.
