Singer/actress/handbag designer/heiress Paris Hilton can now add another title to her resume: Defendant.
Hilton was charged Tuesday in L.A. with driving under the influence and is scheduled to be arraigned Sept. 28, a spokesman for city prosecutors told The Associated Press.
The charges stem from her arrest Sept. 7. Police said her blood-alcohol level was 0.08 percent, the minimum to warrant an arrest.
If convicted, Hilton could be sentenced to six months in jail and fined $1,000, but she is a first-time offender, according to her rep.
No word on whether prosecutors will pursue additional charges related to Hilton’s various fashion crimes over the years.
