Cynthia Ward is certainly entitled to her opinion, which I’m sure is sincere and well-intentioned, but perhaps she should consider the “unintended consequences” of not protesting the war in Iraq. Young Americans will continue to die and be wounded (many for life) while conditions in Iraq worsen regardless of, and possibly because of, our presence. That is much worse than “eating away at the spirit of our troops.”
