Daniel Cabrera came within two outs of no-hitting the Yankees, but Robinson Cano–who lives about two minutes from Cabrera in the Dominican — singled. “He’s not my friend anymore,” Cabrera joked. N.Y. hasn’t been no-hit by a single pitcher since Hoyt Wilhelm did it in 1958.

Rookie James Loney tied the Dodgers’ club record with 9 RBIs, including a grand slam and a two-run homer. Gil Hodges set the mark on Oct. 31, 1950, against the Boston Braves. It’s the first nine-RBI game in the NL since Sammy Sosa did it at Coors Field on Aug. 10, 2002.
