Preceded in death by twin brother, John Francis. Survived by a sister, Mrs. Dorothy (Edwin) Eilers; loving uncle to Dorothy (Forest) Mitchell-Leef, M.D., Robert E. (Karen) Eilers, M.D., Marie Flaherty and Kevin Flaherty; cherished great-uncle to Robert, Alex, Steven, Justin and Katie. Professed his vows with the Carmelites August 15, 1943. Ordained a Priest June 7, 1947. Served vocation and formation ministries. Pastor of Parishes in New Baltimore, PA, and Pittsburgh, PA. Carmelite Province Administration in Barrington, IL. Also taught C.C.D. at St. Issac Jogues in Hinsdale, IL. Retired to the Carmelite Carefree Village, Darien, IL, and St. Patrick’s Residence, Naperville, IL. Wake services Monday October 2, 2006, 2 to 4 p.m., Chapel of Carmelite Carefree Village, 8419 Bailey Rd., Darien, IL. Lying in state Tuesday October 3, 2006, 9 a.m. till 10:45 a.m., at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 8404 S. Cass Ave., Darien. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Interment Friday, October 6, 2006, Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy, MA, following a 10 a.m. Mass at Holy Trinity Parish at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 237 Sea St., Quincy, MA.
